REQUIREMENTS

 

FOR ALL:

Step 1  Complete job application on: www.edjoin.org (search for “Belmont-Redwood Shores”)

Step 2  HR will contact you for an appointment.  You will be asked to bring:

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Social Security Card

  • Current TB Clearance

 

FOR TEACHING: 

If you have a CA teaching credential, bring a copy.

If you do not have a CA teaching credential, you must have:

  • Official sealed transcripts for a completed college degree

  • California Teaching Commission Basic Skills Requirements

All substitutes are required to clear fingerprinting.

SUBSTITUTE SALARY SCHEDULE:

Paraeducators earn up to $20/hr. 

Substitute teachers earn up to $210/day. First-time substitutes who work 10 full days during the school year are eligible for reimbursement of up to $200 for approved expenses related to obtaining their Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit.
