REQUIREMENTS
FOR ALL:
Step 1 Complete the job application for substitute teachers HERE or for substitute para educators HERE
Step 2 HR will contact you for an interview.
FOR TEACHING:
If you have a CA teaching credential, bring a copy.
If you do not have a CA teaching credential, you must have:
Official sealed transcripts for a completed college degree

All substitutes are required to clear fingerprinting.
SUBSTITUTE SALARY SCHEDULE:
Paraeducators earn up to $21.50/hr.
Substitute teachers earn up to $210/day. First-time substitutes who work 10 full days during the school year are eligible for reimbursement of up to $200 for approved expenses related to obtaining their Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit.
