Integrated Pest Management

Integrated Pest Management Plan

BRSSD is committed to meeting the requirements of the Healthy Schools Act and the regulations issued by the CA Department of Pesticide Regulation ("DPR").

Integrated pest management (IPM) focuses on using sanitation and long-term pest prevention strategies before utilizing more stringent pest control measures like pesticides.

All staff reasonably anticipated to use disinfectants, sanitizers, and/or sanitizing wipes are required to complete a DPR-approved training on an annual basis. The District also updates its IPM Plan on an annual basis. BRSSD’s most recent IPM Plan can be reviewed here: BRSSD Integrated Pest Management Plan.
